Absence codes help you categorize the type of attendance event an employee is requesting. We created a set of common codes to help you get started. You may disable any that is not used in your organization as well as create new, custom absence codes.
Access Absence Codes by expanding Time & Attendance from the main navigation menu, select configuration and then select Basics.
Deselect the checkbox next to any code you wish to disable.
Custom Absence Codes can be deleted if desired by clicking on the trash icon next to them.
At the bottom on the Absence Codes section, you will see the option to ‘Create new absence code’. Provide 1-2 letter code, enter your description and select a color.
Note: Absence codes must be unique
Disabled codes will not be available to select when a time off request is created.
When a code is used on a time off request, the color of the code will be reflected on the calendar.
