All staff members who are invited into your Personelle account will need to have a permission level assigned to them. The different permission levels will unlock various levels of access for each staff member within Personelle. The current permission levels that can be assigned are Admin, Supervisor and Employee permissions.
- Admins will be able to perform all functions within the subscriptions for all employees within the company including viewing and editing all employee data. With sensitive HR data, it’s important to give this permission only as absolutely needed!
- Supervisors will be able to manage basic information and perform basic functions for only their direct reports.
- Employees will be able to manage their own basic information.
Staff members must have an invite to register sent to them before their permission levels can be set.
Assigning Permissions From Directory Page
To assign permissions for a specific staff member, select the Directory page and then select the profile of the employee you want to assign permissions for. Then select the Permissions tab. If the staff member has been sent an invite to register then you will see their permission settings populate in this tab. Then select the pencil icon to make edits to the current permission level assigned to the staff member. Be sure to save your changes when finished.
Assigning Permissions From System Settings Page
You can also assign permissions to staff members from the system settings page. To do this, select Settings from the dashboards quick links section and then select the Permissions tab. You will then see app options to select from. Click on 'Manage Permissions' to open the permission assigning window for each app section listed.
You will then see a key chart showing what the various permission levels will unlock for staff members., If you scroll down, you will also see a list of employees and their current permission level. To make adjustments, select the pencil icon next to the desired employee and then you will be able to adjust their permission level. Be sure to save your changes when finished.
Note: If you are subscribed to Personelle Time & Attendance, then all staff must be assigned a permission level in the time & attendance permission setting in order to unlock it's features in their account login. If a staff member has no permission level set then their dashboard will be mostly blank.
